RABAT, July 28 (Xinhua) -- Two military officers were killed Monday morning when an Alpha Jet trainer belonging to the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces (FAR) crashed in northern Morocco.
The crash occurred at Fez-Saiss Airport in the city of Fez during a training mission, when the aircraft lost balance and crashed on the runway while preparing for takeoff, the FAR said in a statement.
Security authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, said the statement.
The Alpha Jet trainer aircraft is a twin-engine jet aircraft often used to perform tasks such as pilot training and light attack. ■
