BEIJING, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted off the east coast of Kamchatka at 1237 GMT on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 52.78 degrees north latitude and 159.99 degrees east longitude. ■
