BEIJING, July 29 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted Chile-Argentina border region at 0933 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 141.9 km, was initially determined to be at 23.48 degrees south latitude and 67.76 degrees west longitude. ■
